FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PIPERJET PROTOTYPE MAKES TALLAHASSEE FIRST STOP
SouthEast Piper Hosts Community for First PiperJet Experience
TALLAHASSEE, Fla., September 23, 2008 – SouthEast Piper today welcomed the arrival of the first flying prototype of the PiperJet to Tallahassee, marking the first stop by the aircraft outside of its home base. Piper’s flight test crew reported that the aircraft performed beautifully for the approximately 310 nautical mile flight from the aircraft’s home in Vero Beach (VRB) to Tallahassee (TLH).
Earlier this year, local and State community and political leaders were successful in winning the bid to keep Piper Aircraft’s operations in Florida. Today, the PiperJet’s stop in Tallahassee marks an important event for Piper Aircraft and for the PiperJet on its way to FAA certification expected late in 2011. The six or seven seat PiperJet boasts a range of 1,300 nautical miles, a full-fuel payload of 800 lbs. and speeds up to 360 knots. Priced from $2.199M, the PiperJet will provide unbeatable value while delivering Piper’s legendary uncompromising standards.

Hosting the PiperJet in Tallahassee is SouthEast Piper, the authorized Piper dealer for Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana. Paul “Mac” Langston, CEO and Chairman of Flightline Group and SouthEast Piper said, “the Flightline and SouthEast Piper family is honored to have the opportunity to host the PiperJet and her crew. We’re proud to be part of the Piper network, the first to have the opportunity to show this impressive jet off to the community and to be able to thank community and political leaders for their support over the years”. SouthEast Piper has been a Piper dealer since 1999 and while the group is currently very well represented with 3 sales and 12 service facilities territory-wide, is growing its service capability with the addition of a 26,000 sqft Regional Service Center under construction in Tallahassee. The new Regional Service Center will service Piper aircraft as well as other light general aircraft as a Factory Authorized Service Center for Piper, Cessna and Cirrus.

Last week, Piper Aircraft hosted customers, prospects and members of the media at their Vero Beach headquarters for the public’s first chance to experience the aircraft in flight. The event in Tallahassee offered deposit holders, individuals considering the purchase of a PiperJet and members of the community an opportunity to see it in a nearly private environment with a far smaller crowd than this aircraft will command at more public events. Following the Tallahassee visit, the aircraft moves on to a national aviation exhibition out of state. The PiperJet will return to the area for display at the National Business Aviation Association show in Orlando, October 6-8.
