Two events this year - Scholarship Swing
The Golf Hall of Fame at World Golf Village has a unique experience for visitors and we will take advantage of the Challenge Hole on Monday, June 14, 2010 from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. just before the indoor Welcome Reception. The Challenge Hole is in front of the Golf Hall of fame and a very short walk from the hotel. The Challenge Hole is located on a small island in the pond in front of the Golf Hall of Fame. You don't have to be a golfer to take a Swing for Scholarship. Balls and club are provided. You can make a donation to the scholarship fund but it is not mandatory. Cold adult beverages will be served and the event is sponsored by Signature Flight Support. A prixe for Closest to the Pin will be awarded. Stop by and be a Scholarship Swinger.
The other new event will be a session we are calling, General Aviation - Beyond the Runway. We are inviting business leaders from Jacksonville and St. Augustine to join us for a panel discussion about the importance of General Aviation to their community and businesses. This is part of our initiative to reach out to communities and have them learn more about our industry. Maybe they will be our customers and just as important an advocate for GA.
